PATRICK SAVERIONI
I was born in 1969 in Switzerland.
My parents are Italian and migrated in the 60s, so Italian culture had been essential to my artistic enrichment.
At the age of 12, with a small group of friends, we started shooting super 8 films, it was a very stimulating period, in the 80s, the movies industry spun hundreds of movies in the fantastic genre, and those were made with a creative artistic approach unseen before !
We learned to do everything in a self-taught way, our costumes, our sets, our special effects, from pre production to post production, we covered it all !
In terms of studies, I had a brief incursion at the School of Decorative Arts in Geneva, then worked in a video store, literally a blessing experience !
Then I jumped into in the comedy business, I shot as an actor dozens of short films and two feature films, until the birth of my daughter in 2002.
I quit acting and learned to compromise.
I quit acting and learned to compromise.
I have a project that would involve some travelling to the Italian regions where my parents were born, and meet the locals, possibly people who would have known my parents, this could be a form of photographic and journalistic reporting.
